Who Are We?

Terry Blount first started working as a health screening physiologist back in 1985 with one of the first health screening providers in the UK. This was established under the name of "Physiometrics" at the University of Salford in the Human Performance Laboratory where Terry was a research assistant. AMI Healthcare PLC took over the running of the facility and moved everyone to a brand new purpose built unit at the Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle, Cheshire. The name was changed to AMI-Lifestyle and this became the flagship and template of all the other health screening units built in AMI hospitals in the UK. Terry was an important founder member of the team who set up the 20 or so facilities across the UK. These health screening units are still running today under the control of BMI Healthcare in their private hospitals. After 7 years with AMI he then decided to go independent and set up his own company called Health Tech, linked with other physiologists, nurses, doctors, consultants and allied health practitioners to provide a whole range of screening services.
